Introduction to Hand Embroidery: Create Your Own Name Badge
Saturday 14th June: 11am to 3pm
Interested in embroidery but not sure where to begin? Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly four hour workshop where you'll learn the fundamentals of hand embroidery and craft your own personalised name brooch.
In this relaxed, hands-on session, we’ll introduce a selection of essential stitches that can be combined to complete a variety of designs—ideal for absolute beginners. You'll receive step-by-step guidance on developing your design, transferring it to fabric, and bringing your embroidered name badge to life using colourful thread and a touch of creativity.
All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. Simply bring your enthusiasm—and a name or nickname you'd love to stitch.
Prefer not to embroider a name? Suggestions for simple floral or decorative motifs will also be provided.
Depending on the size and complexity of your design, you may not complete your name brooch during the session. However, all finishing techniques will be demonstrated, and you’ll receive a clear set of instructions to take home, summarising the skills covered in class. You'll leave equipped with the confidence and techniques to continue exploring embroidery on your own—or to make personalised brooches for friends and loved ones!
